Job Description
*Portneuf Valley Family Center Inc.* has an immediate opening for a *Professional Therapist / Licensed Mental Health Counselor* in our *Pocatello, Idaho* office.
We are a *full-service mental health clinic* with a collaborative team of clinical professionals including a *Psychiatrist, Physician’s Assistant, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Therapists, CBRS, and Case Managers*.
At Portneuf Valley Family Center, we provide *individual, couple, and family counseling* through both *in-person and telehealth services* to meet the needs of our growing community.
We also proudly participate in the *National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Forgiveness Program*, offering:
* *$50,000 loan repayment* for a *full-time, 2-year commitment*, or
* *$20,000 loan repayment* for a *part-time, 2-year commitment.*
*About the Role*
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated *Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC, LCPC), or Licensed Master Level Social Worker (LMSW, LCSW)* to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting individuals and families through emotional, behavioral, and life challenges.
You will provide *evidence-based therapeutic interventions*, maintain detailed documentation, and collaborate closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure positive outcomes and high-quality client care.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
* Provide therapy to individuals, couples, and families using evidence-based modalities.
* Monitor client progress, evaluate outcomes, and modify treatment as needed.
* Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation.
* Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and other care providers.
* Participate in case consultations, trainings, and clinical meetings.
* Deliver both in-person and Telehealth counseling sessions.
*Qualifications*
* Master’s Degree or higher in Counseling, or Social Work.
* Active State of Idaho Licensure.
* Experienced counselors, social workers, and new graduates.
* Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
* Familiarity with trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic practices (CBT, DBT, etc.).
* Proficiency in EHR systems and Telehealth platforms is a plus.
