Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate various types of vehicles, including refrigerated trailers.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive various types of trucks including refrigerated trailers.
- Ensure timely delivery of freight to designated locations while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other necessary documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle being operated.
- Proven 2 years minimum class A CDL experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of safe driving practices.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policies.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including nights and weekends if necessary.
