Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Technician to join our great team! The ideal candidate will have certification in Ophthalmic Assisting and at least 2 years experience as an Ophthalmic Technician.
Duties
- Conduct preliminary patient screenings
- Assist ophthalmologists with patient care
- Perform diagnostic tests such as visual acuity
- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
Qualifications
- Warm, friendly, and happy personality
- Certification as an Ophthalmic Assistant (COA)
- Experience working in an ophthalmic setting - understanding and using testing equipment (Visual Field Machine, OCT, etc.)
- Knowledge of Electronic Health Records systems
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and colleagues
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
