Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential:

  • Lead distribution of Melaleuca products by being an expert in all equipment used to package orders.
  • Maintains all distribution center equipment by adjusting, lubricating, and making mechanical repairs.
  • Responds to calls for repairs, performs scheduled preventative maintenance, and completes repair work orders as required.
  • Performs preventative maintenance tasks on all equipment on the line including conveyors, box makers, printers, applicators, photo eyes, scanners, and air compressors.
  • Uses Lathe, Manual Mill, and various hand power tools to make repairs as needed.
  • Uses full set of hand tools to make repairs as needed.
  • Interfaces with computer system to create work orders, issue parts, and complete work.
  • Coordinate priorities and communicate completion schedule with various line leaders.
  • Use e-mail to communicate with manager, coordinator, and other departments.
  • Observe business driving metrics and create innovative solutions to upkeep equipment, make improvements, and meet goals.
  • Clean and maintain the maintenance shop
  • Generate shift reports on adjustments needed and PMs completed
  • Able to operate all distribution equipment.
  • Installs, adjusts, improves equipment looking for ways to eliminate any time wasted.
  • Makes electrical repairs as required including replacing motors, frequency drives, contactors, power supplies, and electronic components.
  • Completes all assigned PM’s, work orders or special projects as assigned in required time limit.
  • Communicates to affected workers and the supervisor on the status of the work being performed.
  • Ensures all safety policies are strictly followed and constantly looking for opportunities to make the work area safer for all employees.
  • Follow all safety policies including ARC Flash, Lock Out Tag Out, fall protection, use of proper PPE and others.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed.                                                                                                 

Minimum Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Certified or able to be certified to operate all distribution equipment within first 90 days of employment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with proven experience working in a high-paced industrial environment.
  • Basic electrical skills and familiar with working safely around 3 phase voltages up to 480 VAC.
  • Ability to work under stress.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Basic computer knowledge for data entry.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Ability to multitask and work in stressful situations.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally throughout the assigned shift.
  • Pulling, lifting, pushing, bending, squatting, walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs or any combination for the duration of assigned shift.
  • Able to operate any powered industrial vehicles including pallet jack, forklift, stand up as needed.
  • Able to perform basic math functions for completing reports, sheets, labels, etc.
  • Work overtime altered schedule as needed.
