Job Description
Many people are bilingual. What we’re looking for is a language expert. You not only understand, read, and write both French and English fluently but you can also translate between the two skillfully. We need a person who loves language, grammar, accuracy, and detail but who is also ready to embrace the power of AI in translation. You recognize that translation is more than just matching English and French words and sentences, but you also know how to preserve the intent and emotion of the words. You not only have a desire to translate but you also have the drive to do it right.
You will work with an experienced marketing and creative team that handles all the publications, online content, packaging, and other materials for our successful and growing company.
Our work gets seen. And your translations will make a difference in the lives of thousands of French-speaking customers and entrepreneurs. The environment is fast-paced and often deadline-driven, but the work is satisfying and our creative and productive team is highly organized, supportive, and great to work with!
Job duties include translating the following materials:
- magazines and catalogs
- digital content for websites, emails, etc.
- articles and ads
- product packaging
- videos and scripts
- promotional materials
- and more
Qualifications:
- Candidates must be able to demonstrate that they can translate on a professional level
- A firm grasp of written French and grammar is critical
- Samples of work required; a translation test may be given
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Office
- Must be able to quickly learn other software programs and use AI tools effectively
- Previous written translation experience desired
- A related college degree is preferred
This is a full-time position working on-site only.
