Schedule:
● Full time as scheduled with manager
○ Monday-Friday 10:00-6:00
○ Saturday 10:00-5:00
○ Sunday Closed
● The retail schedule includes one day off during the week.
● Additional hours and overtime as required and requested by management.
● Attend and assist with special promotion and off site rental and educational events.
Duties:
● Commitment to provide customers with exceptional service for their musical needs
● Build relationships with customers
● Answer questions and assist in sale of music products to customers
● Emphasis on print music
● Up sell and suggest complimentary item recommendations
● Fill orders placed online by customers and prep for shipping
● Assist in marketing and ad coordination
● Merchandising, labeling, and maintaining store displays
● Inventory receiving
● Restocking and maintenance of inventory
● Enter sales to the Point of Sale computer system and ensure accuracy
● Assist in the special promotion and events as assigned
● All other duties as assigned by Retail Manager and Owners
Skills/Requirements:
● High school graduate or equivalent
● Some College preferred
● Strong musical experience and excellent customer service skills
● Knowledge of music, musical instruments, accessories, and keyboards
● Knowledge of band and orchestra instruments
● Computer & Point of sale skills
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software, Internet and Excel
● Strong attention to detail and follow through on projects
● Excellent spelling for music database searching
● Strict adherence to dress code, schedule, and corporate policies
● Ability to select product from high and low shelves which requires bending, stooping, use of stepstool, and ladders. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
● Excellent business telephone skills and use of business language at all times
● Strong background and personality in sales and customer service
● Self-motivated and willingness to do “fill-in” tasks as required to increase sales
● Ability to meet deadlines
