Job Description

We are a dedicated local butcher shop known for our craftsmanship and premium custom cutting. As we expand, we're seeking a self-motivated, independent person who thrives on taking initiative and driving business growth. 

In this role you will be responsible for taking orders, communication with the butchers to ensure correct customer specifications for top quality standards. Beyond the cutting room, you will take ownership of customer relationships, drive new business opportunities, and help shape the future growth of the shop. 

Candidates should be: 

  • An experienced butcher or have a strong understanding of various cuts, from standard to specialty. 
  • Self-motivated and driven - someone who thrives working independently, taking ownership of both daily operations and strategic growth. 
  • Passionate about providing top-tier customer service and introducing customers to new products. 
  • Adaptable, eager to grow with the business, and excited to contribute to a thriving local brand. 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Consult with customers to customize orders and provide expert guidance on cuts and preparation. 
  • Maintain current customers,  identifying sales opportunities, upselling products, and introducing new offerings. 
  • Make cold calls to potential new customers with specific growth goals each week/month.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and uphold strict food safety standards. 
  • Work independently, manage own workflow, while collaborating with the team on shop goals.

Preference will be given to candidates who: 

  • Speak and talk bilingual (English/Spanish). 
  • Have had business to business sales experience. 
  • Past butchers, others that have worked in restaurants, and those who have a deeper understanding of all types of meats.
