Summit Communications is looking for a motivated, dependable individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Field Technician. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in technology who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and working directly with customers. We provide training, so previous experience is helpful but not required. A willingness to learn and a strong work ethic are what matter most.

Position Overview

Responsible for assisting with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of business technology systems for Summit Communications customers. Services include business phone systems (VoIP), security camera and surveillance systems, WiFi and networking infrastructure, structured cabling, and business communication solutions.

Works closely with the office and technical team to coordinate service needs, complete equipment installations, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain existing customer systems. Interacts directly with customers to answer questions, explain equipment operation, and ensure their technology systems are functioning properly.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Basic computer and technology knowledge preferred.

• Previous experience in IT, networking, telecommunications, electrical, or low-voltage cabling is a plus, but not required.

• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.

• Good communication and customer service skills.

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Comfortable working with tools, equipment, ladders, and performing hands-on installations.

• Ability to lift and move equipment as needed.
